For some reason, this week I was seriously craving a good old fashioned grilled cheese sandwich. I’m not sure why, I didn’t even like grilled cheese when I was a kid.
For this sandwich, it was all about the cheese. I picked up some fancy gouda — I like gouda because it’s a milder cheese and some fresh bread.
I sauteed broccoli and cauliflower and added a side of avocado and plum tomatoes for good measure.
It was the perfect, easy to make, dinner.
Pro tip: Be sure to butter the bread and not the pan for optimal grilled cheesy goodness. Slow and steady wins the race on this front :)
